Lake Pepin is a wide spot on the Mississippi River about 90 miles southeast of Minneapolis / St. Paul. It’s considered the best sailing between Lake Superior and the Gulf of Mexico, has year round fishing (89 species), and some of the best bird watching (263 species) in the upper midwest. The Mississippi river is one of the most active flyways in North America. On this page we are putting together slide shows highlighting all that we love about living here, and some links to various stories over the years. Feel free to send us yours!
